Burlington Northern Caboose:

A major acquisition was the Burlington Northern caboose which Ken Oestreich spotted in Central City, sitting on a siding. With the help of railroad buff Jim Adams, the caboose was eventually acquired and placed on a siding next to the museum. Thanks went to the Illinois Central, which sent a crane to lift it into the correct spot. Retired employees of the IC then washed the caboose and painted it in the green and yellow Burlington colors.
